Dave Lu, an Asian American business leader and Stanford MBA ‘04, wrote a letter to his network to rally support against the recent violence against the AAPI community. It grew into a coalition of AAPI business leaders who started a movement and pledge. On March 31, 2021, this coalition bought out a full-page ad in “The Wall Street Journal.” DoorDash founder Tony Xu, Stanford MBA ’13 and Zoom founder Eric Yuan, Stanford Executive Program ’06, signed the pledge and joined forces with AAPI leaders to pledge $10 million to support the AAPI community.
